Blaupunkt wins the Red Dot Award 2025

Rödinghausen. Blaupunkt has won a Red Dot Award: Product Design 2025 in the "Kitchen Appliances" category for its 5IX99300 induction hob with integrated extractor fan.


Recognition of outstanding product quality
The international Red Dot jury, which this year consisted of 43 experts from 21 countries, evaluated submissions from over 60 countries based on four basic principles of good design: functionality, aesthetics, usability and sustainability. The Blaupunkt hob impressed the jury with its efficient extraction technology, modern "dark steel" aesthetic, discreet, intuitive LED control panel and practical functions such as Cooking Chef mode and the double boost function for all cooking zones. "The purist design of the hob impresses with high-quality materials, flawless workmanship and well thought-out functionality," said the jury in its statement.


Blaupunkt is delighted with the award
This Red Dot Award is already the fourth award that Blaupunkt has won this year for its 5IX99300 induction hob with integrated extractor fan. "We would like to thank the Red Dot jury for this award, which makes a significant contribution to highlighting outstanding product quality for customers. The four awards won by this Blaupunkt built-in appliance from different independent juries show that our hob meets the highest quality standards – from modern design and excellent functionality to ease of use," explained Olaf Thuleweit, Managing Director of HK Appliances GmbH.


Exhibition for winning products
The winning products from this year's competition will be presented at the "Design on Stage" and "Milestones in Contemporary Design" exhibitions at the Red Dot Design Museum in Essen. More than 2,000 award-winning products from over 50 countries will be on display in an exhibition space covering 4,000 square metres, ranging from everyday objects to technological innovations. The museum is designed as a lively place of exchange and inspiration – for trade visitors and the general public alike.
