Rödinghausen. The 33rd Terra Wortman Open will take place in Halle, Westphalia, from 13 to 21 June 2026. Häcker will be the tournament’s official partner for the first time. The grass-court tournament in Halle is an ATP 500 event and, taking place between the French Open and Wimbledon, holds a prominent place in the tennis calendar.
A regional event with international reach
In Halle, the organisers are expecting over 100,000 visitors from more than 50 countries throughout the tournament week. The strong field of players, featuring world-ranking stars such as Alexander Zverev, Daniil Medvedev, Taylor Fritz and Alexander Bublik, also ensures that the tournament will be broadcast to over 150 countries. It is regarded as the ATP 500 tournament with the strongest line-up. As one of 61 partners, Häcker is part of the Terra Wortmann Open and will present itself as a brand on site with a special event area under the motto “Serving Excellence – On Court & in the Kitchen”. The aim is not only to increase brand awareness, but also to allow fans to experience the kitchen product itself. Plans include interactive activities for visitors, a competition and autograph sessions with tennis players.
As a modern employer with over 1,800 employees, Häcker places great emphasis on sport and health. In addition to regular health days and a balanced diet in the staff canteen, the company is actively involved in supporting a wide variety of sports groups. This clear commitment also makes Häcker’s involvement in the Terra Wortmann Open a perfect component of its marketing mix. “Sport is a top priority at Häcker. Through our involvement in the Terra Wortmann Open, we reach a broad target audience whilst also benefiting from strong national and international visibility for our brand. We are therefore particularly delighted to be supporting the Terra Wortmann Open as a partner,” explains Karin Padinger, Head of Marketing and Interior Design.
Häcker—The Company
Häcker was founded in 1898 as a cabinetmaker by Hermann Häcker and taken over by his son Friedrich in 1938. In 1965, the foundation for today’s economic success was laid by the latter’s son-in-law Horst Finkemeier and wife Renate through the serial production of kitchen furniture.
As an owner-managed family business, Häcker today produces fitted kitchens at five production facilities across two sites in Rödinghausen and Venne. The company offers its retail partners and employees a unique, values-driven corporate culture—reliable, responsible and exemplary. With its product lines concept130 and systemat, as well as the brands BLAUPUNKT and h│tech for built-in kitchen appliances, Häcker offers a comprehensive product portfolio tailored to a wide range of customers and markets—from value-driven to premium.
