Rödinghausen. Blaupunkt is once again among the winners of the prestigious Red Dot Award this year. The jury honoured no fewer than three products in the ‘Product Design’ category: an induction hob with an integrated extractor hood, the new wine drawer and the Tirreno Edition for sinks and taps. In addition, Blaupunkt was honoured with the Plus X Award for ‘Best Brand of the Year 2026’ in the hobs category.
Blaupunkt wine drawer: sophisticated wine cooling in a modern design
The Red Dot jury has recognised the Blaupunkt wine drawer as a new standout in the field of wine cooling. This elegant wine drawer offers the functionality of a fully-fledged wine fridge whilst combining it with the compact form of a drawer. This modern, newly designed product can accommodate up to five bottles, with the temperature adjustable flexibly to suit requirements between 5 °C and 20 °C. The electronic opening mechanism ensures maximum ease of use, whilst the glass viewing window always allows a view of the wine collection. In addition to its space-saving design, the jury highlighted its clean lines and precise temperature control – features that enable “this wine drawer to translate classic wine cooling into a modern format”.
Blaupunkt Tirreno: Timeless design in elegant colours for the sink
With the new, PVD-coated Lago sink and the matching Liro tap, Blaupunkt has won a Red Dot Award in the sink design category. The sink’s elegant PVD finish, available in Dark Steel and Copper, offers first-class material quality that combines scratch resistance and high stain resistance with colour fastness and a lasting gloss effect. The stylish, minimalist design offers a timelessly modern aesthetic that not only impresses with its durability but is also easy to maintain. The same applies to the PVD-coated Liro PO tap, which harmonises perfectly with the sink in terms of colour and material. The jury was impressed by the unique combination of aesthetics and practicality for everyday use: “The Blaupunkt Edition Tirreno is a stylish sink combination that impresses with its elegant design and durable materials,” the jury explained in its statement.
Induction hob: aesthetics meet functionality
The IX80290ME induction hob with integrated extractor hood, which won the third Red Dot Award, is part of the new Blaupunkt Matt Edition, which combines an elegant look with practical everyday features, such as reduced fingerprint marks and exceptional scratch resistance. An unobtrusive, concealed control panel with white LED lighting – which is invisible when switched off – discreetly controls both the cooking and extraction functions, whilst preserving the hob’s clean design. In addition, the hob offers a dual boost function for all induction zones, a special Cooking Chef mode and a grill function. Another special feature is the option to flexibly combine two cooking zones into one large zone. “With its matt finish, integrated extractor and concealed control concept, the Blaupunkt 5IX80290ME embodies a consistently minimalist kitchen design,” said the jury.
Plus X Award – Best Brand of the Year 2026 in the Hob category
With the overall “Best Brand of the Year 2026” award from the Plus X jury, Blaupunkt has won a fourth award recognising the overall quality of its hobs. The assessment criteria included technological performance, user-friendliness, build quality and design excellence. With this award, the jury recognises the successful combination of technical precision, contemporary design and high practicality for everyday use with which Blaupunkt develops modern hob solutions: “With powerful technology, well-thought-out functions and reliable quality, the brand sets new standards – and thus deserves the award for Best Brand of the Year 2026.”
Recognition that motivates
Olaf Thuleweit, Managing Director of HK Appliances, is delighted with the awards and emphasises their motivational value: “Four awards in a single year are a special endorsement of our work for our entire team. They demonstrate that our products impress not only through their design, but also through their functionality and the added value they offer in everyday life. This success spurs us on to continue developing solutions with passion that enrich our customers’ kitchen experience.”
