systemat by Häcker: Where Quality Is at Home
systemat by Häcker starts with the materials. Real wood that showcases its grain and lets you feel it. Stone with its own unique texture. A shade that perfectly matches what you’ve envisioned for your space. Systemat is premium, systemat is personality, systemat is that certain something. The line combines authentic materials with a design tailored to your space—in color, dimensions, and height. It’s made for people who appreciate form, experience texture, and consciously choose colors. For them, a kitchen is a space where every detail reflects their personality.
Simply More Individuality
The cabinet fronts from Häcker systemat are made of materials you can see and feel. Each brings its own unique character to the room, and many can be combined with one another.
Real wood veneer reveals what it is: oak, walnut, or wild oak with visible grain. The selection ranges from smooth fronts and framed fronts to deeply embossed surfaces and grooved fronts, all the way to a relief pattern reminiscent of the wickerwork on classic Viennese coffeehouse chairs. A vertical groove elongates the surface vertically and scatters the light into narrow lines. The AV 6070 Blackwood is a dark, embossed real wood veneer with a distinct grain. The volcanic oak of the AV 6084 is so deeply embossed that its surface resembles rock more than veneer.
Stone veneer is real stone, processed into a wafer-thin front. In addition to Silver-star and Black-star, there is Gold Shine-star: Here, gold-colored accents shimmer within the natural stone, and even to the touch, the front remains recognizable as real stone.
Lacquered fronts are available as smooth fronts, framed fronts with beveled edges, or framed fronts in a modern country house style. Metallic lacquer adds a different touch: the AV 7070 in industrial steel and bronze. Polymer glass and linoleum are also part of the selection, with linoleum available as a matte front that feels pleasant to the touch.
A systemat kitchen reveals its personality where materials come together. Blackwood stands alongside bronze, stone veneer alongside wild oak, and polymer glass alongside walnut. You decide which combination suits you best: the materials are coordinated so that a high-contrast mix comes together as a cohesive whole. Countertops and backsplashes are part of this material palette, ranging from natural stone on the kitchen island to a marble backsplash.
The jury of the home design magazine *Schöner Wohnen* also recognized just how much design can be incorporated into a cabinet front. It honored the AV 6085-GL wood veneer front in the Viennese wickerwork style with the “Best of Design” Award 2025 and the AV 3050 laminate front in a granite look with the “Best of Design” Award 2026. The systemat kitchen featuring the AV 6085-GL in the Viennese wickerwork style demonstrates how the wickerwork relief looks when applied to an entire kitchen.
Color that's spot on
For systemat’s painted fronts, there are three color systems to choose from: NCS with over 2,000 colors, RAL Classic with 190 colors, and RAL Design System Plus with 1,825 colors—a total of over 4,000 colors. In addition, there’s the Selection series featuring the latest trend colors, with handles and trim strips color-coordinated to match.
This color selection allows the kitchen to match the tone set by your space: the gray of a stone floor, the green of a wall, the blue of a favorite piece. The kitchen matches this tone perfectly.
During the planning consultation, the color shade is specified by its designation in the NCS or RAL system. This allows a kitchen to be coordinated with a wall color or a piece of furniture whose color code is already known. Those seeking a calm base should choose a shade that closely matches the floor or wall. Those who want to add an accent can deliberately incorporate contrast into the design—for example, with a colorful island set against a wall of tall wooden cabinets.
Painting is done according to NCS and RAL standards in our own factory. Häcker has been a family-owned business since 1898—now in its fifth generation—and manufactures its kitchens in Germany at five plants in Rödinghausen and Venne.
Dimensions and heights that blend into the space
Every room has its own dimensions. Whether it’s a sloped ceiling, an older building with high ceilings, or a niche between a window and a door: With systemat, you can make numerous custom adjustments at no extra charge. The width, height, and depth of the cabinets are tailored to your space.
Under a sloped ceiling, shorter cabinets follow the line of the roof. In the niche, a custom cabinet width fills the space all the way to the wall. And where a wall limits the depth, the cabinet follows its contour instead of protruding into the room. The result is perfectly tailored solutions with a harmonious overall look.
systemat also adapts to the room’s height. Three heights are available for base cabinets, six for wall cabinets, and eight for tall cabinets; the tallest tall cabinets measure 234 centimeters. With top cabinets, you can design a cabinet wall that extends to the ceiling, so that the storage space utilizes the full height of the wall.
This transforms a kitchen that simply fits into the space into one that is an integral part of it. You can sketch out your initial ideas for your floor plan using Häcker’s kitchen planner.
Simply providing more clarity
Designed without handles, a Systemat kitchen looks as if it were cast from a single mold. Instead of handles, recessed strips define the surface: a continuous recessed grip that allows the front to be opened.
The recessed moldings can be selected to match the cabinet fronts—including the natural walnut and natural fine oak wood finishes—and can be illuminated upon request. This allows the color and material aesthetic of the cabinet fronts to extend all the way to the line between them.
At systemat, “Häcker handle-free” means: calm surfaces, clean lines, and a focus that remains on the material, the light, and the architecture of the room. Häcker’s kitchenstyles demonstrate how handle-free kitchens look in various designs. To learn what matters most during the planning process, read the article “Planning a Handle-Free Kitchen” in the kitchen magazine.
Open-concept living, clearly organized
A handle-free systemat kitchen is ideal for people who enjoy an open-concept living space and love having guests over, without pots and appliances dominating the room. Handle-free cabinet fronts and floor-to-ceiling sliding doors create calm surfaces that conceal generous storage space. The kitchen thus becomes an integral part of the home’s architecture.
Coordinated living solutions extend the kitchen’s materials into the living area, and rounded side panels give a freestanding kitchen island a soft silhouette. An open-concept systemat kitchen in sand beige and walnut demonstrates how handle-free surfaces and living solutions work together in an open-plan design.
What you see when you open it: pull-outs, cabinet bodies, and glass-fronted cabinets
Häcker systemat pull-outs can be planned using the SlimLine Drawer (SLD). Its one-piece cast steel frame is just 8 millimeters wide and can be equipped with integrated lighting upon request. Drawer inserts with well-thought-out compartments keep contents organized, and solid wood interior organization adds a warm touch. Pull-outs with glass sides offer a view of the interior and bring a sense of lightness to a closed front.
Behind it all is a cabinet built for stability: 19-millimeter-thick cabinet shelves, metal shelf supports, and wall cabinets suspended from concealed metal rails. Base cabinets with a cabinet depth of 61 centimeters offer nearly 10 percent more storage space than the standard 56 centimeters found on the market. A cabinet depth of 71 centimeters is also available upon request.
The cabinet itself also becomes a design element. The designer cabinet is finished in a single color on all sides—inside and out—in Light Gray, Titanium, Natural Fine Oak Repro, or Natural Walnut Repro. When a door opens, the color scheme continues inside.
Pocket doors demonstrate how a kitchen can be transformed to suit any occasion. The doors slide to the side and disappear into the cabinet. Behind them, an area—such as a coffee station—can remain open and be discreetly closed with a single hand gesture.
Glass cabinets with metal frames and concealed hinges showcase their contents, while illuminated glass shelves highlight them. Narrow strips of light make the countertops appear to float.
Experience systemat at a specialty retailer
Veneers, stone surfaces, and finishes look different in a room than they do on a screen. The best way to assess the grain, texture, and color is by looking at a material sample in the same light where your kitchen will eventually be located.
Through discussion, we’ll define what makes a Systemat kitchen unique: the mix of materials, the color from the NCS or RAL system, and the dimensions and heights tailored to your space. A Häcker dealer near you will advise you on cabinet fronts, colors, and planning, and work with you to design a kitchen that suits your style.
